“We love this home. And we love this area so very much, but after four years here, the space started to feel a little too small,” Janna said. “Our children are grown and live on the Westside, but they like to use our home as their Eastside pied-à-terre,” she laughed. “And I want our place to remain a gathering spot as our family grows. My husband, Craig, on the other hand, is most excited about having the room to build a pool. He loves pools.”

Janna and Craig Gosselin were ready to sell their home at 1557 Poppy Peak Drive. And at the same time, they were excited to buy a larger house nearby. Buying while selling is inherently stressful. And it certainly started that way for the Gosselins.

“This made us even more nervous…“

.

“We looked at a lot of homes all over the area and then it occurred to us that we really needed to put our current house on the market before we settled on a house to buy,” Janna recalled. “This made us even more nervous because what would happen if we didn’t find the right house, or if our house didn’t sell quickly? I really didn’t want to move twice or put all our things into storage.”

“We just felt so supported…”

.

“We decided we needed to get Eva on board. And I’m so happy we did,” Janna sighed. “She has this amazing team who helped prep our house, handle paperwork, and handle the open house set-up for the sale of our home. She also had this incredible buyer’s agent who would take us to any crazy house we wanted to see. Eva kept saying ‘We’ve got it handled. We’ll take care of it.’ And she did. We just felt so supported… so protected.”

“For example, she would send these gifts for every milestone. It was incredibly special. I even got sick at one point and Eva sent me a package of soup and immunity boosters. We were so incredibly well taken care of,” Janna smiled.

“Eva is truly worth her weight in gold.”

“With Eva and her team’s help we found the right house. An architectural home in the mountains of Altadena,” Janna continued. “At the same time, Eva was able to secure us an incredible buyer for Poppy Peak who loves the space as much as we do. Eva sorted through potential issues on the purchase of our new home while negotiating a sales price on our older home that was exactly what we hoped for. It was masterful.”

“Ultimately though, in our opinion Eva’s primary strengths, which you wouldn’t necessarily expect because she’s a hard charging – you know, very organized, hardworking Realtor and businesswoman… are her soft skills,” Janna mused. “Eva’s ability to be compassionate, and warm, and kind, and so very, very thoughtful makes her the total package.”

.

Janna added, “My neighbor, who also sold her home with Eva, described her as the Baryshnikov of Realtors, because she can so gracefully navigate all the chaos and spinning plates happening around her. And I can’t agree more. Eva is truly worth her weight in gold.”

Well… I can’t begin to claim the grace of Baryshnikov, as I notoriously have two left feet, but do appreciate the comparison.

“We’re so excited about our move!”

“We’re so excited about our move!” Janna added. “We get to stay in the Pasadena area, with all our friends and favorite places, and our new home is architecturally significant and has a great post-modern vibe. Plus there’s so much more space! Craig is really looking forward to the high ceilings, as well as building that pool. And Chewbacca is going to just love his giant grassy backyard!”
