“I loved that home,” Julie reminisced. “It marked the start of our lives together and the beginning of our parenting adventure. But now that we have two boys, Eric and I wanted to raise them in an area with great schools, that was closer to our family and had a stronger sense of community and belonging.”

“I definitely suffered some serious sticker shock looking at home costs.”

“We set our hearts on South Pasadena,” Julie continued. “It had everything we were looking for. And Eric was especially excited because he always dreamed of raising his children in the same town he grew up in. The big problem in my mind was the cost. I wasn’t as up-to-date on the current market as my husband, so I definitely suffered some serious sticker shock looking at home costs.”

“I was particularly nervous because we intended to sell our home and buy a new one at the same time and I just wasn’t sure how that might even work — let alone if it would be financially possible,” Julie looked over at Eric. “I can’t say how thankful I am that we saw Eva’s ‘For Sale’ sign on the lawn of a home, and decided to give her a call.”

“She introduced us to her partner, Angel, who’s an amazing buyer’s agent with incredible skill and compassion,” Julie added. “She was present, aware of our needs, and incredibly responsive. And we found a beautiful house just down the street from Eric’s parents!”

“Meanwhile, Eva was able to dedicate her attention to selling our home. And what can I say? Eva was ahead of everything. She was meticulous in her approach and strategy, and worked with her team to execute their plan flawlessly. Eric and I expected the house to sell above asking. We planned out our new home’s renovations in stages, depending on the offer we received. I joked with Eric that if we can get to 300K over asking I’m building myself a walk-in-closet. Well, imagine how thrilled we were when it sold for more than half a million over! And guess who’s ecstatic about her new closet?” Julie laughed.

“It’s surprising how little stress we actually felt.”

“Eva’s team approach really stood out to me,” said Eric. “It made a huge difference and isn’t like anything I’d seen before.”

“Yes, completely,” Julie agreed. “Any questions or anxieties I had were immediately mitigated. Even when it came time to negotiate, Eric and I felt no stress from the process. We were really comfortable knowing that Eva had our backs, you know? That she was in our corner.”

Eric added,“You know you’re in a stressful situation but with Eva’s knowledge and experience, and the way she guides you through the entire process, it’s surprising how little stress we actually felt. We always knew it was gonna work out in the end. No matter what happened. We knew we were in the best hands possible.”

We are so happy with the whole process and how everything turned out,” Julie beamed. “This is a dream come true for my husband. He always talked about how much it would mean to him to raise children in his hometown, in a house of his own. And with their grandparents just a few doors down, and a vibrant and active community like South Pasadena surrounding us, I know our sons will have the best opportunities and support possible as they grow up. I’ve always believed it takes a village to raise a child, and with the help of Eva and her whole team, I’m thrilled we will be able to give our boys that experience.”
